Want to know more about the weirdest Pokémon in Pokémon: Sword and Shield? Well, here’s a list of the weirdest Pokémon with the most absurd looks and powers!

"Pokémon: Sword and Shield" invites trainers to the expansive Galar region, where some of the Pokémon you'll encounter are as bizarre as they are charming.

From quirky designs to unexpected abilities, these oddball creatures add a delightful twist to your adventure, challenging the norms of the Pokémon universe.

Weirdest Pokémon In Pokémon: Sword And Shield

Yamper In Pokémon: Sword And Shield

Yamper is not only one of the craziest Pokémon on the lineup but also one of the cutest. It's a corgi in every sense. Yamper is an electric-type puppy Pokémon. Yamper produces electricity through its tail as it passes.

One of its moves is called "Ball Fetch," and it is immensely beneficial when catching Pokémon. It will capture Pokéballs for you as long as you have the Yamper in your party. It’s the weirdest Pokémon!

If you throw a ball and the Pokémon you're attempting to catch escapes, Yamper can recover it and return it to your bag! They are also said to only help coaches retrieve balls because they want treats.

Yamper made this list merely because it's a cute corgi and one of the cutest Pokémon we've ever seen. If you want to capture a Yamper, you can't be looking too far. They're common as a herding dog and thus appear almost everywhere. At level 25, Yamper evolves into Boltund.

Boltund can reach speeds of up to 50 mph by sending electricity through its legs. It can also be found in the wild at Motostoke Riverbank, Dusty Bowl, and Lake of Outrage. Boltund, sadly, does not have any gigantamax forms.

Rolycoly

Rolycoly is unquestionably an extremely weird Pokémon. First and foremost, it appears to be an actual blob of coal with a face, so it is not cute. Rolycoly is a rock-type Pokémon found over 400 years ago in coal mines.

According to its Pokédex entry, Rolycoly travels by "racing around like a unicycle." It is powered by coal, and aside from that, there isn't much else to say about it. Rolycoly is a blob of coal; there isn't much else to it.

This rock-type Pokémon can be found on Route 3, Giant's Cap, and Motosoke Riverbank. It's surprisingly common, so don't be concerned if you can't find one. It evolves into Corkol, a rock and fire type Pokémon, at level 18.

Corkol has the ability to form coal within its body and has used that coal to help bolster the homes in the Galar region. Beneficial! It’s one of the weirdest Pokémon.

It can travel at slightly more than 18mph and breathe fire at 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit. At level 34, Corkol keeps evolving into Coalossal. Coalossal is a rock and fire type Pokémon as well.

It is usually a calm Pokémon, but it is frequently outraged by mine vandalism. It can generate up to 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit fires.

Perrserker In Pokémon: Sword And Shield

Perrserker is an evolution of the popular Pokémon Meowth! It is both a Viking and a steel-type Pokémon.

It made the list solely because of its unusual appearance. Perrserker can be found on Routes 7 and 9, and at level 28 it can emerge from a Galarian Meowth.

"What seems to be an iron helmet is actually hardened hair," according to the Pokédex. This Pokémon thrives on the thrill of combat."

Perrserker appears to be a Meowth who grew tired of battling for Team Rocket and decided to strike out itself. It’s literally the weirdest Pokémon on the list for its appearance.

If I saw this in the wild, I doubt I'd recognize it as a Meowth evolution. The Galarian Meowth does not depict the Meowth we all know and love.

However, it does resemble something out of a horror film, especially with its new prolonged claws.

Meowth is the king of two evolutions in Pokémon: Sword and Shield. It not only has a Galarian and an original form, but it also has a gigantamax form.

That gives you a total of five distinct Meowth options in-game. Perrserker, Meowth, Persian, Gigantamax Meowth, Galarian Meowth If you ask me, it's a little perplexing.

Hatenna

I wouldn't call this Pokémon crazy, but it is one of the most distinctive from Pokémon: Sword and Shield.

Hatenna is a Calm Pokémon with psychic abilities. So I may have included it on this list simply because it likes to avoid people and flees when it detects powerful emotions.

That was very creative, and something we hadn't seen in a Pokémon before. Hatenna lives in the Motosoke Outskirts and the Stony Wilderness. I'd be on the lookout for this one because it doesn't appear in as many places.

At level 32, Hatenna evolves into Hattrem, and at level 42, Hatterene. Hatterene is a Silent Pokémon that will kill you with its tentacle claws if you are too loud around it. It’s the weirdest Pokémon for its abilities.

Milcery In Pokémon: Sword And Shield

Milcery is the first on this list who is truly... crazy. It's a Cream Pokémon of the fairy variety.

They say that any patisserie visited by Milcery is assured success and great wealth, according to the Pokédex. This Pokémon was created from sweet-smelling air molecules. It has a cream-colored body.

Milcery can be found in Giant's Mirror and Bridge Field on Route 4. They are, however, invisible.

This means you can't see them roaming around in the high grass and can only find them by running into them at random. It’s the weirdest Pokémon.

It evolves into Alcremie, but the manner in which it evolves is peculiar. It is a two-step procedure. First, you must locate a "Sweet."

These candies can be found in a cafe. To obtain the sweet, you must finish a daily battle.

You must then feed the sweet to your Milcery while spinning the left analogue stick in circles until the Milcery spins around and strikes a pose.

Each sweet alters the appearance of the Alcremie, and it is said that there are 28 known forms. It's only for show. Alcremie also has a gigantamax form, which is probably one of the most bizarre in the game.

Alcremie's gigantamax form is a multi-layered towering cake. Yes, there is a cake that operates in battles. Alcremie is on this list solely for this purpose.

Applin

Applin is a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon with an apple core. It is not an apple Pokémon, but rather a Pokémon that burrows into an apple when it is born. It spends its entire life inside an apple, according to the Pokédex entry.

It hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by pretending to be nothing more than an apple. It burrows into an apple as quickly as it is born. Not only does the apple provide food for it, but the flavour of the fruit influences it's own transformation.

Flapple, a grass, and dragon-type Pokémon, evolves from Applin. When exposed to a Tart Apple, it evolves. This is only one of its final forms; when exposed to a Sweet Apple, it can also evolve into Appletun. It’s the weirdest Pokémon.

Appletun presumably covers its body in nectar, and it was once popular as an appetizer among children. Wait a minute. This Pokémon was once eaten by children? Yes, it definitely deserves to be on this list.

Applin can be found in Stony Wilderness, Dusty Bowl, and Giant's Mirror on Route 5. The Sweet Apple can only be found in Pokémon: Shield, while the Tart Apple can only be found in Pokémon: Sword.

Sirfetch’d In Pokémon: Sword And Shield

Sirfetch’d is easily my favorite Pokémon on this list, however, that doesn't make it any less bizarre. It is a Fighting type Wild Duck Pokémon.

It is only available in Pokémon: Sword, but it can be acquired through trade in Shield. It’s the weirdest Pokémon.

Sirfetch'd is a Galarian variant of Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd can be discovered on Route 5 or in Giant's Mirror, but it is extremely rare, with only a 5% spawn rate.

Farfetch'd is yet another Pokémon that does not evolve through leveling. To evolve your Farfetch'd, you must score three critical hits with it in a single battle. Make certain that the Farfetch'd you catch is carrying a leek before proceeding.

Once Sirfetch'd, the leek will transform into a sword and he will receive a leek shield. However, once the leek sword withers, it will retire and lose its ability to fight.

Impidimp

Impidimp is a Wily Pokémon of the dark and fairy varieties. This Pokémon has a special ability known as "Pickpocket." If Impidimb comes into physical interaction with an opposing Pokémon, Impidimp will steal the opposition Pokémon's item.

Giant's Mirror, Hammerlocke Hills, Motosoke Outskirts, Glimwood Tangle, and Stony Wilderness all have Impidimp. It’s the weirdest Pokémon on the list.

They're fairly common, so don't be concerned about finding one. What makes this Pokémon so unusual is its entry in the Pokédex: Through its nose, it sucks in the emission produced by people and Pokémon when they are irritated.

It feeds off of negative energy. It infiltrates people's homes, stealing items and feeding on the negative energy of the irritated residents.

Basically, it irritates people and feeds off their anger and negative energy. How creepy!

At level 32, it evolves into Morgrem, and at level 42, it evolves into Grimmsnarl. Grimmsnarl also has an impressive gigantamax form.

Morpeko In Pokémon: Sword And Shield

Morpeko is a two-sided Pokémon that is both electric and dark. It has two sides, as previously stated, Hangry Mode and Full Belly Mode The hunger switch has an effect on these. When the hunger switch is pressed, it changes shape.

It most likely contains one of the best Pokédex entries I've ever read. It says, a s it eats the seeds stored up in its pocket-like pouches, this Pokémon is not just rewarding its constant hunger, according to the Full Belly Mode entry.

It also produces electricity. It transports electrically roasted as if they were valuable treasures. No matter how much it eats, it quickly becomes hungry again. It’s one of the weirdest Pokémon.

It most likely contains one of the best Pokédex entries I've ever read. According to the Full Belly Mode entry, this Pokémon is doing more than just satiating its extreme hunger by eating the seeds stored in its pit pouches.

It also produces electricity. Its shuttles were electrically roasted as if they were valuable treasures. It gets hungry very soon, no matter how much it feeds itself.

Morpeko has a 5% chance of spawning on Route 7 and a 4% chance of spawning at Lake of Outrage. This means you may have to spend some time in these areas before you find one. It appears that it may be worthwhile. Morpeko has no evolutionary path.

Polteageist

Finally, Polteageist, the oddest Pokémon of all: Sword and Shield. Polteageist is a ghost-type Black Tea Pokémon.

It's a Pokémon with no gender that lives inside an ancient teapot. Because of how unique and disturbing it is, it takes the top spot on the list. A creature living inside a teapot? Who thinks that stuff up?

According to the Pokédex entries, the teapots in which the Pokémon lives are usually counterfeits, but they can occasionally be genuine work.

If I had to guess, I'd say this is a shiny variant. Polteageist is the weirdest Pokémon.

According to the Pokédex entry, leaving leftover black tea unattended invites this Pokémon to come along and pour itself into it, transforming the tea into a new Polteageist.

Trainers Polteageist trusts will be able to sample a slight amount of its tea and experience its distinct flavour and aroma firsthand.

So... Polteageist can not only create new Polteageists, but it also allows its coaches to drink it? What a strange Pokémon.

I really want one for some reason. When Cracked Pot is used, Polteageist evolves from Sinistea. Sinistea can only be discovered in Glimwood Tangle, so you should go there if you're looking for this Pokémon.

Do you want to play Pokémon: Sword and Shield after all those crazy Pokémon? I'm sure I do. The Pokémon aren't as important to me as the overall storyline, and from what I've played so far, I'm really enjoying the game.

The graphics are stunning, and the world feels more accessible and explorable than it has in a long time. I'm looking forward to catching some of these weirdest Pokémon along the way.
