Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash Review

Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash is targeted for oily, acne-prone skin. It contains salicylic acid to exfoliate and witch hazel to tighten pores. It's affordable and readily available, but consider using a moisturizer afterward and patch testing for sensitivity.

Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash Packaging

The packaging of Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash is everything. It’s a simple bottle with an eye-catchy design that’ll gravitate you towards it instantaneously and entice you into grabbing the bottle.

The bottle is white in color with yellow labels which is a direct reference to the witch hazel plant and it has a dark blue pump nozzle making it portable and an overall convenient product to use. The gross capacity of the face wash is 200 ml.

With the pump nozzle bottles, you know how much is sufficient for application thus you need not worry about releasing excessive face wash liquid.

Furthermore, the Biore Witch Hazel face wash bottle is of superior quality thus it’s very travel-friendly and no this bottle wouldn’t leak out of its contents because I’m speaking from experience.

My only disappointment was, Biore could do more in terms of sustainable packaging rather than utilizing single-use plastic bottles for their face wash. Otherwise, I’m wholly satiated with the Witch Hazel face wash packaging.

Ingredients Of Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash

Taking a look at the ingredients or contents of a product is the most boring thing to do but when it comes to skincare this is a crucial step one mustn’t compromise. The most prominent ingredient in Biore Witch Hazel face wash is undoubtedly witch hazel.

Witch hazel is a medicinal plant renowned for its skin-beneficial properties like keeping acne, skin irritation, and sensitivity in check.

The witch hazel leaf and bark extract are major astringents that have been proven to contract skin cells, eliminate bacteria, and rejuvenate the skin. Hence why Biore Witch Hazel faces wash is efficacious in minimizing pores and reducing blackheads.

The face wash is formulated with 2% salicylic acid and lauric acid. Salicylic acid aids to remove dead skin cells and reducing inflammation thus preventing breakouts, meanwhile lauric acid possesses antibacterial properties that combat acne.

This makes Biore Witch Hazel face wash an ideal face wash if you have acne-prone skin.

Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash also contains other ingredients like eucalyptus leaf and lavender extracts which boast antiseptic and antioxidant properties that safeguard the skin from external pollutants.

In fact, the lavender extract also reduces anti-aging signs like wrinkles. Nonetheless, the lavender extract may cause rashes so it’s an ingredient you need to be cautious of.

Furthermore, some ingredients in Biore Witch Hazel face wash possess some adversities as well. Like salicylic acid which may cause irritation when it comes into contact with the skin for the first time.

In addition, witch hazel can be a detriment to the skin if used constantly as it can result in dehydration of the skin by stripping off its natural barrier. Therefore, be wary of such factors before and while using this product to evade any possible skin damage.

What’s Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash Like?

It’s significant that I assess what the texture and fragrance of the Biore Witch Hazel face wash are like and how I felt about such attributes of the product.

Texture - The texture of the Biore Witch Hazel face wash is almost like a lightweight gel. The face wash immediately feels like dripping once you pump it into your palm due to its lightweight consistency.

Therefore, make sure to not pump out the face wash excessively, and once you pump rub them between your palms as soon as possible before they could drip off.

Color - The face wash is basically translucent and has no colors which is a plus because colorants and dyes are more likely to cause skin irritation.

Fragrance - The scent of the Biore Witch Hazel face wash caught me off guard because it smelled nothing like witch hazel when I used it for the first time.

Rather, it gave off more of a menthol scent which is understandable due to the eucalyptus leaf extract content in the formula.

What’s Unique About Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash?

The prime unique factor that I came across in the Biore Witch Hazel face wash is its formula that’s entirely developed with natural skin-beneficial ingredients like witch hazel, lavender extract, eucalyptus extract, and salicylic acid.

Not many face washes and cleansers on the market contain numerous natural ingredients that are safe on the skin.

In fact, the Biore Witch Hazel facial cleanser is specifically aimed at acne and blackhead-prone skin. Although I don’t have acne-prone skin, I definitely do have visible pores and blackheads on my nose which are unpleasant to look at.

With the Biore Witch Hazel face cleanser I was successfully able to minimize the pores on my nose substantially which I was struggling to purge by using numerous facial cleansers I found in drugstores.

In addition, my face felt thoroughly cleansed after using the face wash and by noticing how clear my skin looked I could tell that all the grime and sebum were completely washed off.

The fragrance of this cleanser was quite therapeutic and my face felt so cooled down after using the face wash. Although it took a few days to display results, the Biore Witch Hazel face wash has hands down aided me with scrapping away all the dead skin cells and blackheads.

Like most facial cleansers with salicylic acid, Biore Witch Hazel doesn’t strip your skin off because it only contains 2% of salicylic acid hence it’s ideal for daily usage.

Is Biore Witch Hazel Face Wash Worth It?

The Biore Witch Hazel face wash only comes in a 200 ml bottle and it cost me $13 on Amazon. If you ask me if the face wash was worth $13 I would say not really.

There are several salicylic facial cleansers in drugstores and e-commerce websites that are priced below $10 and can perform similar or even better functions to the Biore Witch Hazel face wash.

As a matter of fact, another facial cleanser from Biore called Charcoal Acne Cleanser is a salicylic acid-based cleanser that’s aimed at acne-prone skin and costs only $6.87 on Amazon.

Compared to the Biore Witch Hazel face wash, the Charcoal Acne Cleanser is much more effective in deep cleansing the skin, purging acne, and evening out the skin tone by removing blemishes and acne scars.

Therefore, I’d say there are much better alternatives to choose from at reasonable prices.

The elements present in Biore Witch Hazel face wash are cautiously researched and have proven to be efficacious in combatting acne, cleansing the skin from bacteria, exfoliating blackheads, and minimizing pores.

Is Biore witch hazel face wash good for acne?

The Biore Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Cleanser is formulated with witch hazel, salicylic acid, and other ingredients that are commonly used to help treat acne.

Witch hazel is known for its astringent properties, which can help to reduce inflammation and redness associated with acne. Salicylic acid is a type of beta hydroxy acid that helps to exfoliate the skin and unclog pores, which can also be beneficial for treating acne.

While the effectiveness of the Biore Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Cleanser may vary from person to person, it has received generally positive reviews from users who have found it helpful for treating acne and improving the overall appearance of their skin.

However, it's important to keep in mind that everyone's skin is unique and may react differently to different products.

If you're considering using the Biore Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Cleanser for acne, it's important to patch test the product first to make sure that it doesn't cause any irritation or allergic reactions.

It's also important to follow the directions for use carefully, and to be patient as it may take several weeks of consistent use to see results. If you have severe or persistent acne, it's a good idea to consult a dermatologist for personalized recommendations and treatment options.

Does witch hazel stop pimples?

Witch hazel is often used in skincare products, including those formulated for acne-prone skin, because of its astringent properties.

Witch hazel contains tannins that can help to reduce inflammation and redness associated with acne, and it can also help to soothe and calm the skin.

While witch hazel may help to reduce the appearance of pimples and other types of acne, it's important to note that it is not a cure for acne.

Acne is a complex skin condition that can have many different causes, including hormonal imbalances, genetics, and lifestyle factors, and it often requires a multifaceted approach to treatment.

In addition to using skincare products that contain witch hazel, it's important to maintain a consistent skincare routine, eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, and manage stress to help prevent and treat acne.

If you have persistent or severe acne, it's a good idea to consult a dermatologist for personalized treatment recommendations.
