Biore Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Toner Review

Browsing on Amazon, I came across Biore Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Toner which has nearly 5-star reviews.

As its name suggests, this toner is formulated with witch hazel extract which possesses astringent properties that help to remove excess oil from the face while effectually minimizing pores.

Witch hazel extract also comes off as an anti-inflammatory and irritant-free component that balances the pH level of the skin.

On the other hand, salicylic acid works as a vital agent to combat breakouts, blackheads, and whiteheads, and even minimize the sebum production in the skin.

In tow with citric acid, the Biore Witch Hazel Clarifying Toner also unclogs pores and purges dead skin cells, bringing down aging signs, while smoothening and brightening the skin.

As someone with combination skin, I wasn’t certain if the Biore Witch Hazel Clarifying toner was for me but I proceeded to test it out anyway.

The toner comes in a transparent plastic bottle that only has a simple cap and the consistency of the toner is lightweight and oil-free.

After dabbing the toner on my face I noticed a significant reduction in breakouts on my forehead and cheeks. M

y skin felt instantly smooth and hydrated. My nose wasn’t oily as before and after a few days, I perceived a substantial lessening of pores as well.

However, I sensed irritation when using the Biore Witch Hazel toner for the first time, and eventually, some parts of my face felt stripped off which could possibly be due to salicylic acid. If you have sensitive skin, this salicylic acid-based toner is a no-go for you.

Pros:

  • Affordable price
  • Lightweight and oil-free
  • Concocted with 2% salicylic acid, witch hazel extract, and citric acid
  • Instantly hydrates and smoothens skin
  • Substantially prevents breakouts and clears acne scars
  • Minimizes and unclogs pores
  • Purges blackheads and whiteheads
  • Reduce sebum and oil production in the skin
  • Potentially reduces aging signs like fine lines and wrinkles

Cons:

  • Not suitable for all skin types
  • May cause irritation and tingling sensation initially
  • Salicylic acid can strip off natural oils from the face
  • Not so customer-friendly packaging

Biore Clean Detox Toner

The Biore Clean Detox Toner is packed in a translucent bottle with a label that depicts green tea leaves.

Green tea is a crucial component in this skin lotion as it gently detoxifies the skin by deeply cleansing the pores and eradicating blackheads. It also keeps free radicals and acne in check while retaining the moisture in the skin.

The willow bark extract in the Biore Clean Detox toner works as a mild exfoliator that helps to minimize pores and lessen the production of oil in the skin.

It also contributes to youthful-looking skin by minimizing aging signs as well as granting supple and smooth skin. The 2% glycolic acid content in the Biore Clean Detox Toner exfoliates dead skin cells and boosts collagen production and cell regeneration.

The bottle has a sealed lid that makes it convenient to use and prevents leakages as well. The toner’s consistency was lightweight and non-sticky thus making it easier to absorb on cotton.

A little of the toner goes a long way as I dabbed my entire face with just a single cotton ball. My face felt instantly refreshed and hydrated afterward and the toner has a subtle green tea scent to it but it’s barely noticeable.

It maintained the hydration in my combination skin and didn’t feel oily after application. I also perceived a glowing appearance on my face and it also felt plumper after weeks of use.

The pores on my nose were barely visible after using the Biore Clean Detox Toner as well as the blackheads.

However, it took almost a month to depict results thus I’d say patience is key.

Pros:

  • Cheap.
  • Good-quality packaging.
  • Formulated with green tea extract, willow bark extract, and glycolic acid.
  • Gently exfoliates dead skin cells and blackheads
  • Boosts collagen production in skin and makes it supple
  • Minimizes pores and sebum production
  • Lightweight
  • Reduces aging signs
  • Hydrates the face and locks in moisture
  • Suitable for most skin types
  • Alcohol, fragrant and cruelty-free

Cons:

  • Takes a while to display effective results
  • Might not be effective on normal skin

Biore Hydrate & Glow Toner

Similar to the Clean Detox Toner, this toner comes in a transparent bottle with a purple label. The Biore Hydrate & Glow toner is concocted with humectants like coconut water and avocado oil.

Both moisturizing ingredients are known to hydrate the skin and nourish its deep layers. Coconut water boosts collagen secretion in the skin and enhances skin elasticity while also reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Avocado oil aids to calm skin and shields it from UV rays and skin damage. These components also work together to grant radiance to the skin by improving skin complexion.

The other major components in this toner are lactic and malic acid. Lactic acid purges dead skin cells and contributes to evening the skin texture.

This leads to the brightening and smoothening of the skin which grants a plumper texture. Meanwhile, malic acid cleanses the pores, visibly reduces aging signs, and naturally exfoliates dead skin cells from the skin as well.

The toner is lightweight, translucent, and has a mild coconut scent. When using the Biore Hydrate & Glow toner on my face, I instantly noticed the beam on my face. My skin was hydrated throughout the day and wasn’t irritated at all.

The texture of my skin gradually improved as all the dead skin cells and blackheads were eliminated. This made my face smooth and supple.

The fine lines and dark circles around my eyes were nowhere to be seen after the regular application of the Biore Hydrate & Glow toner.

However, my combination skin didn’t like the avocado oil content in this toner which is known to be comedogenic.

Thus I experienced a few breakouts hither and thither and I wouldn’t recommend the Biore Hydrate & Glow toner for anyone with oily or combination skin.

Apart from that, Biore Hydrate & Glow is a commendable product for those with normal, dry, and sensitive skin.

Pros:

  • Impressive packaging
  • Contains coconut water, avocado oil, and lactic acid
  • Lightweight consistency
  • Immediately absorbs to the skin
  • Provides radiance to the face
  • Eliminates dead skin cells and blackheads
  • Evens out skin texture and complexion
  • Makes skin smooth and supple
  • Promotes collagen and cell production
  • Visibly reduces aging signs
  • Alcohol and fragrance-free

Cons:

  • Slightly expensive
  • Not ideal for oily and sensitive skin
  • May cause breakouts

Biore Uruoi Jyaku-Sansuki Shittori Acescence Water Toner

This Biore skin toner is manufactured in Japan and has a distinct formula to the rest of the Biore skin toners discussed above.

This toner is water-based and is formulated with humectants like glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, dimethicone, arginine, and water-soluble collagen.

Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate add moisture to the skin cells while also locking the hydration in. This aids to prevent flakiness and dryness on the face and promotes a much younger-looking appearance.

Dimethicone is also an essential moisturizing agent for both the face and body that reduces rough and dry patches and enhances the skin texture by making it gentle and smooth.

Arginine and water-soluble collagen on the other hand are predominantly renowned elements for their anti-aging properties like reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

These components also boost collagen production in the skin hence providing a supple skin texture.

The toner has contrasting packaging compared to its counterparts. It comes in a pump nozzle bottle hence making it convenient to use.

The texture of the toner was watery and felt very hydrating when I dabbed it on my face. It’s fragrant and alcohol-free so it doesn’t irritate or sting the skin.

It aided me in effectively lessening dry patches and flakiness on my face. The pores on my face were less visible after using this toner and the moisture was retained on my face throughout the day.

However, the only downside of this toner was it was way more expensive than the rest of the Biore toners since it was exported from Japan. Thus I wouldn’t make a second purchase of this toner.

Pros:

  • Suits all skin types
  • Good quality packaging
  • Formulated with glycerin, dimethicone, sodium hyaluronate, and water-soluble collagen
  • Hydrates skin instantly and retain moisture
  • Reduces dryness and flakiness on the skin
  • Alcohol and fragrant-free
  • Lightweight consistency
  • Promote collagen production and cell regeneration
  • Reduces aging signs and pores

Cons:

  • On the expensive side
  • Might not be very effective
